SUMMER READING CHALLENGE – for kids

Summer Reading Challenge

This is running at all libraries nationwide starting July 14th 2012.

Children are required to read up to 6 books during the holidays and will qualify for stickers or certificates etc (see your local library.

In addition the children can sign up to a website at www.story-lab.org.uk

During August I will be at Tonbridge Library helping with story telling and craft activities based on some of the Summer Reading Challenge books.  It is hoped the kids and I can make our own story books. Then it can go into  story sacks Рa book and lots of additional activities to do at home- and borrowed by anyone!

It is really important that children think of reading as a fun activity. The library has a good range of Read Hear Audio discs and books, as well as Barrington Stoke easy to read print, dyslexia support books for children and parents.

Sessions need to be booked in advance

See you there
